ISP CEP families are in charge of covering and managing all procedures related to the following travel aspects:

Flights

Medical & Travel Insurance

Vaccines & Medical Checks

(if required)

Passport

(and visa,

if required)

Personal Allowance

(student personal expenses)

During the exchange you will continue to cover your school fees and will not pay any enrolment or extra fees at your hosting school.

APPLICATION PROCESS

Global list of ISP schools where reciprocal exchanges can happen all over the world is shared with parents.

FAMILY APPLICATION SUBMISSION

Interested families submit their application through a common platform.
Students get to select and rank their 3 preferred regions.
Your student must be enrolled in an ISP school, aged 14-17 and studying one of the following years or equivalent:

Year 10-Year 12 (British curriculum)
ESO-1 Bachillerato (Spanish curriculum)
9-11 Grade (American, Canadian, Mexican, Costa Rican curriculum)
10 EGB-2 Bachillerato (Ecuadorian curriculum)
3-5 Form (Malaysian curriculum)
1-3 Grado de Enseñanza Media (Chilean Curriculum)

Students must have been enrolled for at least one full academic year in an ISP school.
School fees need to be up to date and parents should have no debt with the school.
Students must have high attendance and exemplary behavioral records.

COUNTRY MATCHING

Country matching will be done only for those families that have completed the expected forms by the determined deadline.

The matching system prioritises:

1º Reciprocal matches (approximately 80% of cases).
2º One-way exchange (student stays with a ISP host family).
3º ISP boarding school experience, if needed.

Families get the last say on whether they will take the offer. New matches will not be provided until all participants have been matched.

safeguarding check

Matched families will then be visited by ISP schools staff for a safeguarding check to complement submitted documents which will be cleared by ISP Central Health and Safeguarding team. They are:

Host Family screening by school safeguarding team.
Risk assessment.
Student Key information.

GREEN LIGHT TO TRAVEL

Students will be able to travel once granted the Green Light To Travel from ISP Central ILOS team. This process ensures amazing and safe exchange experiences.

Families that have successfully completed all previous steps will be granted the Green Light To Travel from ISP Central ILOS team. This process ensures amazing and safe exchange experiences.

It is time to connect digitally with your ISP CEP family, and get to know them before traveling!

Two possible traveling periods: April-July or Sep-Dec '24.

Students with the Green Light To Travel will be set to begin their exchange experience. During the matching process you will determine with your pair, who will travel first. We recommend for the exchange to happen one right after the other visited, travelling on the same flight connecting the exchanges.
